I don’t think it’ll kill AUM and Cubasis 3 for me (but who knows?).

I haven’t tried loopy pro yet, but I’m also planning on doing the free trail this weekend to fully dive into it.

Also sugar Bytes does some good sales 2-3 times a year. The demo is free for as long as you want though, so you have plenty of time to dive in and experiment. I make beats as well (though more on the experimental side) and I think it’s perfect for that. I think Looperator is amazing and great for glitchy and chopped and screwed kind of stuff. Hey you’re not asking me but I’ll try and answer a bit. but it seems to me like the developer was kinda like "what are all the things that I would want in a iOS DAW? what is missing from my normal goto apps? what is lacking in the top tier production apps like cubasis BM3 nanostudio2 beathawk AUM audiobus etc.?" and then he just made an app with all those things, hes also very involved and seems like he listens to his customers and is quick to help individual people and is always updating and fixing bugs. So we will see if i have found the holy grail or not. im not sure if it has pads like BM3 or built in keys to play on, but i do have KB-1 and koala, EG Pulse.

with plans to add MIDI notes to the sequencer timeline from what I am reading.

it seems like everything i love about AUM, Koala sampler, the cubasis3 timeline/clip arrangement, the timestretching of eg segments, etc, and put them all into one PLUS I can load all those apps and more with AuV3s, IAA, synths, effects (post/pre), sends, buses, sidechaining, etc. loopy pro seems to have it, im gonna dig deep today as soon as i get home (10 minutes), and we will see if it is really what it seems hyped up to be (yet, not very hyped up at all considering ive never heard if it until yesterday when i saw its advertisement on this very forum yesterday and for the first time felt curious enough to click on it). so if you do take the time, then you sir are amazing and link your music and i will follow, like and subscribe/send you flowers and cupcakes on valentines day, etc.Īlso i just stumbled upon Loopy Pro and I have only kinda opened the app, done the tour halfway through and read reviews and stuff about it and I THINK it may be the pinnacle of iOS music production, like, it just seems to have almost everything that i have ever thought about any other app (it would be nice if i could do this). or simply out of place.Īlso dont feel obligated to listen to all those or put so much time into answering what should be a simple question, i just really wanted to stress the feel and vibe of the tunes im being paid to make, so i can get an honest opinion about looperator. could looperator be any help at all for something like that? as far as making it sound smooth, flow/groove, dark, sometimes analogue, or gritty. those two, plus my youtube links are what i am typically being asked to make. method man - Lemon Squeeze and also i would say conway the machine - 1000 corpses. and then the golden standards for the type of sound these local guys are looking for is Conway the Machine ft. whats your opinion? for and example of the type of beats i am making is my latest and (which is a mis-upload because i uploaded the version with no bass in it).

ive played with the demo for like 5 minutes, didnt really did deep, and i could see maybe it being helpful, also could see it sounding very choppy (in a bad, cheesy or ameture way) or just not being able to be used to get that darker deeper feel of those kinda beats. May I ask why Looperator is the last one? I make boom bap / hip hop usually j-dilla, sample based, Griselda type-old school type beats (the alchemist, daringer, etc) for local rappers that have been paying me for beats, but more people are now wanting beats and i need to find a way to spice up some of my loops for some of their preferences, and i was considering looperator. feel free to ignore it completely or complain about it or insult me for it. I like groovebox aspect of Egoist and the ambience of Aparillo the best and Turnado is great for modulations with dictator and an LFO especially when used with MIDI and your own effects. The demos of it put me off between the harshness and the overwhelming interface. I can recommend in order of my preference: Egoist, Aparillo, Turnado, WOW (filter), Factory, and Looperator The sugar bytes stuff I’m after: Turnado, Effectrix, Looperator, Factory, Cyclop, Aparillo
